Bless her soul.
There was nothing - nothing like being a mother. And there was nothing at all like feeling a life inside of you, growing and thriving. That need to nurture, that need to protect.
Some things never changed, between flesh or fabric.
He was going to be a boy, Lilith knew. She could tell in her soul, in her heart of hearts. Eden, her little, precious girl, crowded around her with wide optics, full of questions and joy.
Missing, though, was her love. Lilith was looking out the window, wondering where he might be. Shielding Eden from the truth hadn't been easy. No, it was heartwrenching. Lilith didn't think Eden fully believed her. But she acted as if she did, which was enough for now.
An anxiousness rattled around in her spirit. Lilith looked down at her chest, the glow brighter than ever. It was as bright as ever. It was almost time. Lilith bit her lip. She'd had to get someone else to make the body - it was pure luck that she'd found someone. But Lilith was still waiting.
And it was almost time.

< 192 Reuben - to remedy us >
Just in time; the body was done. Reuben paused in his steps to peer awkwardly in at Lilith, then to avoid being accused of acting like a creeper he stepped in (and almost tripped over the doorframe), carrying a tiny button body. Admittedly the first small vessel he'd ever built (not to mention the only one at all), but he was confident that everything was structurally sound.
Misgivings about the small group that lived here in the theater nibbled at the back of his mind, but he pushed it away with no edits to his expression. These people had obviously been involved in a lot of fighting - and, being the cautious creature that he was, assumed this meant anything could happen here. He would be cautious.
But what the hell was he doing here? He wasn't a midwife or anything. In fact, the whole reason for his presence was to supply the body. He stuck around.. why? Maybe he felt bad because it looked like Lilith might give birth alone. To be honest, Reuben hadn't even known ponys COULD give birth. All of this was new.
And it was this that made it seem like a really sacred time, or.. something like that. He would feel wrong if he didn't stay.
Reuben nodded awkwardly at Lilith, making it very obvious to anyone watching that he was being very careful. He set the small body down gently where Lilith could see it:
It was made of mostly-clean white fabric, topped with some black doll hair he'd found. The hair was bound in a ponytail, so it could be either kept long or cut. Basically, it was the perfect general child body. After all, he hadn't known which gender to build it for.
"Uh… how's it look?"
< 145 Rhycher - to dissect us >
There was absolutely no reason for him to be here. Absolutely none.
Yet here he was.
Not.. here, really.. Rhycher sat motionless on a large, broken statue just outside the theater, facing the entrance. Something kept making him come back, some memory or recognition… though he continued to tell himself that it wasn't relevant to him. He had been yanked into this because of that confrontation with that irritatingly blue ribbon and the woman and the… the child.
Yet it was so painful to try to force these thoughts away. He'd begun to allow them, if only for the sake of his aching head, and now was even curious. Angry, but curious.
And now it had reached a terrifying crescendo. It was like someone had picked him up, worked his arms and legs until he was here, and let him have control again. No matter how much he wanted to leave, something made him sit and watch the theater.
He didn't dare go inside.

Lilith looked upon the body Reuben brought in with fluttering anticipation in her soul. If she'd been human, she'd no doubt have tears spilling down her cheeks. There were many times that she wished this body had the capacity to cry. It wasn't until that function was eliminated that she realized how important it was.
"Oh, Reuben.." she whispered, a tremor in her tone. "He's lovely." The dark doll stroked the fabric of the child's arm. She petted his hair.
Lilith was already in love with her second child. Luca. Luca would be his name.
"Do you..know of any alchemists?" She asked warily. There wasn't much time. Lilith glanced back out the window, a stone in her spirit as she desperately wished that Rhycher was here with her. But he wasn't. She was alone again. Even Eden did not offer the support she needed.

< 192 Reuben - to remedy us >
This was just.. awkward. As Reuben watched Lilith quietly fawn over her soon-to-be child, he once again felt like he was intruding on a secretive ritual of the strange and insane thing some call motherhood.
He backed away a few steps to make himself a little more comfortable with the situation, and moved to stuff his hands in his pockets - but looks down with a frown, as he didn't have an pockets. Maybe it was some stupid reflex.
He was so preoccupied with this thought that he almost didn't hear Lilith's question. "…alchemists? He frowned, looking up at Lilith and crossing his arms to make up for lack of pockets. "I don't know any. I could… ask around--" He cut off; he'd been about to say "ask around the Mark", but he had been made painfully aware of the repercussions of that.
"-uh.. around. My contacts."
