Name; Belphegor Vice; Sloth [ physical, emotional, and spiritual apathy ] Gender; Male Height; 8.6” Fabric; Polyester Frame; Copper
Personality; Mostly a coy and over-confident specimen, Belphegor fancies himself as a sly smooth-talking genius. Really he’s just full of himself, but it’s no lie that he is pretty charismatic, if not disgustingly lazy. He will verbally jab at victims whilst laying down, and that’s if he summons up enough energy. In a nutshell he is incredibly persuasive and thoughtful – but tends to think higher of himself than he is deserving of.
Appearance;
A tall and lanky ragdoll whos cloth is an unusual dark gray color. Along his body are otherworldly alchemic symbols and marking that represent the planet Mars. He constantly has an odd half-smirk on his face and his lenses always appear to be in a lazy halfway slit. He fashions himself with a decorated eel skull. His head has many stitched feathers that protrude out of the jaw line of his skull. His body is bound by a strange ‘belt’ held together by a mysterious looking button. This is because without that belt, Belphegor would be free to attack anyone without emotion with his razor-sharp needle-like claws.
M.O.; To manipulate victims into thinking that they need to ‘take a break’. To convince them that they shouldn’t care about what happens around in the world depending on their role in life. Once he fully manipulates them into giving up, he hands them a magnet and goes about his way… confident that he has helped them destroy themselves.
Strengths; When he feels up to it, Belphegor can be incredibly crafty and manipulative. He will quickly find weaknesses in other’s personalities that even remotely need some ‘rest’. Since his vice doesn’t stop him from thinking clearly (until it gets tiring) , he often thinks of topics for philosophical conversations. His razor-like claws can slash through nearly everything but metal, leaving his victims shredded, crippled, in pain, and exhausted.
Weaknesses; Most likely the weakest-willed out of all the vices. Belphegor, being the sin of sloth, has little interest in things that do not concern him. He will refuse to do his job simply because it’s his job. Although he is intelligent he is unable to use his intellect to its fullest ability. He refuses to put the energy in thinking too much.. and when he does he immediately needs a nap afterwards. He has incredibly low stamina when bound by his holy shackles. He needs to sleep in order to store energy for his berserker mode. He also seems to have some kind of feelings for Leviathan, the vice of envy.
The Sin’s True Form; Activated when his shackles are released. Belphegor becomes a ruthless killing machine without any hesitation or feelings due to his apathetic nature. It is the true nature of Sloth – the absence of any need to care.
Themes; Peephole – System of a Down
Voice Actor; Brandon Keener
