- Personality: At first, Rhycher was a little bit, uh.. let's say antisocial. He loved his job, but whenever he actually came into contact with someone he'd turn into a douche bag and make fun of them or try and crack jokes that were only witty to him; all of this to hide his dislike for being around others. Even now, after dying once, he still holds true to that, unconsciously becoming awkward around people he doesn't know or considers acquaintances. It's a step up, to be honest - just after being put back in a body, Rhycher showed a terrible fear of those he had hurt before his death. He's better at it now. Lilith - and later Eden - were the reasons he left his post with the BRAIN, wanting to keep the family from becoming too damaged because of their employment. He is obsessed with Eden, and sometimes this stretches to being way too overprotective. A warning to those who threaten his family though - there will always be hell to pay, no matter what mental state Rhycher is in.
- (+) characteristics: protective, unhurried
- (-) characteristics: vengeful, quick to anger, mistrusting, threatening
- History (waking up): Rhycher woke up not long after the humans passed (he had been dubbed a failure in the experiments and had been considered trash), and since his awakening had somehow been delayed he was lost and confused. He stumbled upon Noise, a bird-like machine, who he followed to the Factory.
- History ("then"): Basil was a Biology major at university a little before the machines began to cause problems. He came off as a very normal guy at first, but soon after he got to his junior year, something seemed to change. During one lab class, he had direct access to dissection blades and proceeded to try and disconnect his lab partner's hand. He'd managed to cut off one of the guy's fingers before he was pulled off and arrested. There was a long progression of court cases before his lawyer - without his acceptance - declared his client insane. Basil was committed to an asylum where, of course, he was used for experiments.
