Arg, my muse won't leave me alone. I'm so sorry....
Name: Scout
Species: Sentient
Implied Gender: Female
Purpose: Protection of those she befriends, she is a working dog, designed to guard people and buildings, and defend her territory.
Anomalies: She has a compartment in her abdomen, which she can use to carry things, or stitchpunks if they trust her enough to climb past her teeth.
Accessories: Leather straps wrapped around her legs to protect the joints from dust and stones, a soft strip for a collar and harness so that rag dolls can hang onto her back easily and she can be hooked up to objects like a sled dog.
She weighs quite a bit compared to the rag dolls, and can bowl them over with ease, she could probably take on some of the smaller machines, but generally avoids such confrontation.
Weapon(s): Her teeth and claws.
Appearance: AWESOME Picture by Shukketsu Kokoro
Though she is small, Scout is based on a red wolf in physique, as she is lean and fast, with large paws. She is not that much bigger than a stitch-punk, being around 5.5 inches in height when on all fours, and 9 inches long. A stitchie could theoretically ride on her back, and she can carry one in her stomach if they require protection or are injured - although taller rag dolls may find it cramped.
However she would have to trust them quite a bit herself - as the compartment is primarily made for objects rather than moving occupants, and someone could easily damage her if they poked too hard.
She is made of interlocking plates of fine iron, having a scaled appearance to emulate shaggy fur, the metal has been dulled over time. Her teeth and claws are made of rounded pieces of iron which are moulded to look like a dog canines, this gives her the ability to pick up objects without damaging them - just like a wolf with it's cubs.
Her eyes are set in almond shaped sockets, and give off a slight green glow, allowing her to see in the dark a little better than the average rag doll.
She can get tangled in things easily, or if she is tripped she may jam something, meaning she will need someone's help to straighten her out. She is not likely to break, however the amount of plates she has means she can easily be paralyzed if they are bent or damaged - if she tears them off she will be able to move again, but be left vulnerable.
Her iron frame is pretty tough, however the multiple pins and joints in her armor means there are plenty of gaps - so she will keep her distance from an enemy with a ranged weapon, though shorter knives are unlikely to do much damage unless they manage to unhook a plate as her circuitry is bound close to her frame.
Personality:
Scout has a gentle nature, preferring to coexist rather than resorting to fighting. However she will not hesitate to defend her territory, whatever it might be, and protect other rag dolls if they are attacked unjustly.
She can speak, having a human soul, but since her speaker is located just below her jaw she has no need to open her mouth. Scout also prefers to hide her intelligence, as Traitors are more inclined to talk around an animal than someone who can understand their talk. This means she doesn't often speak unless necessary.
Other Information:
Scout was a human woman of around twenty four years of age, she was in a wheelchair due to a car accident which left her paralyzed from the waist down. Her husband was in the military and died in the war before the machines rebelled. Being a highly independent person she was able to find herself work and live on her own - however she withdrew into her grief and gradually drifted away from her friends.
When she heard about the soul transfers, she decided she wanted to take her husband's place in protecting humanity - and sought out a shady faction of the military which was making machines for human souls, which is how she came to be put into a machine.
Her original personality has been preserved, however so has her grief, her intense loneliness and desire for love and company, she escapes from these feeling by focusing on her duty to protect the helpless.
Though she has a human voice, her ability to howl and growl has roughened it slightly, making her rather intimidating at times.
Currently she has no one to protect, as her last companion disappeared without warning - and usually roams the outskirts and emptiness by herself, occasionally returning to the remains of a scrap yard in the outskirts.
